DESCRIPTION:Bright Star Touring Theatre\, a national professional touring theatre based in Asheville\, NC\, is visiting the area with their production of Struggle for Freedom: The Life of Dr. King. The Struggle for Freedom is a 50-minute production presented as a living history program in which the audience gets a wide-angle view of a specific historical period with excerpts of famous speeches\, civil rights era songs\, and a variety of characters. \nThis program is voluntary and open to all. It is intended as an educational experience focused on cultural history\, inclusive teaching\, and student success.
